Swatch x BAPE - BIG: BOLDMatching the world’s biggest watchmaker with one of Japan’s most iconic streetwear brands, Highsnobiety developed one of the hottest drops of the year. BIG BOLD is a collab between Swatch and A Bathing Ape (BAPE), with watches inspired by locations significant to both brands — Tokyo, New York, Paris, London, Switzerland, and a global colorway.

Highsnobiety developed a full suite of creative for the campaign, celebrating BIG BOLD personalities and heralding a who are just the right amount of ‘extra.’ Videos and photo-series were published within editorial deep-dives. HS also produced a series of over-the-top launch in Tokyo neighborhoods, each representative of one of five cities from the collection. Thematic installations, screenings, and performances submerged guests into the different locales. The London location, for example, featured a BAPE fine jewelry exhibit while Paris came alive with a Moulin Rouge-style performance. The night culminated in a ‘global’ after-party at 1OAK with live music performances from Japanese artists Yuki, Kawanabe Hiroshi, and 5lack. The collection sold out in Japan in just one day.
